The Communication Summit will focus on the topic of truth

Experts in marketing and PR communication from companies and institutions will meet on May 24, 2023 at the Communication Summit in the DOX+ premises in Prague. Authenticity and responsibility dominate the sixth year themes. Blue Events, as the organizer of the summit, teamed up with the program guarantor Nelež association, which aims to limit advertising investments in misinformation.

Communication must be "authentic" because today nothing is forgiven and nothing is hidden. That's why the organizers chose the theme "Be real" for this year's Communication Summit. The program focuses on everything that can help companies and institutions to be truly genuine in their communication. It will address on "useful truths", which communication managers cannot do without, but also authentic brand communication. We will also try to answer the question wheather the PR and marketing department will be replaced by artificial intelligence.

Richard Shotton, known for his bestseller The Coice Factory, is coming to Prague for the very first time. He makes brilliant use of behavioral science and helps big and small brands solve business challenges. “I'm going to talk about truth in advertising. Because I think there is a lack of it. There is an awful lot of marketing decission based on pretty shaking foundations. Instead we need the firmer foundations of behavioral science, which gets us the truth about what genuinly influences consumers,“ says Shotton in a video invitation to the summit.

The program will also focus on "Responsible communication" in cooperation with the Nelež association. Responsibility for the context in which the brand communicates in an offline or online environment is becoming a crucial point for many companies. Among the speakers is the world-renowned expert on disinformation Jessikka Aro. The Finnish investigative journalist and author of Putin's Trolls specializes in exposing Russian internet trolls spreading fake news among the people of Finland.

The Communication Summit has been organized by Blue Events since 2018 with the aim of showing that quality communication leads to better financial results and a positive social impact. The event succeeds in bringing together all communication professionals, whether they work in the marketing department or in PR.

From 2020, the Nelež association appeals to advertisers not to finance entities that are interested in disseminating disinformation content and monetizing it with the placed advertising. Over 200 advertisers have already joined its call.
